We know the new regulations regarding the purchase of Non-Restricted Firearms aren’t very clear. We want to make it as easy for you to purchase your firearms online, or by phone.
Here are the new requirements if you are not buying your Firearms in person.:
Perhaps the best piece of advice that you, as an individual, can receive with respect to purchasing Non-Restricted firearms from business licence holders under the new system is to ensure that you have a valid email address on file at the CFP…and that you *know* what it is.
This is needed to obtain a Reference Number online, and is critical to ensuring a smooth transfer…w/o having to call in.
Go to the CFP website, click on “Individual Web Services” and verify the email address on file.
If you’ve not yet created an account, you’re advised to do so.
